Luna Raineri, born 1999 in Imperia, Italy, holds a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry from the University of Pavia (2021) and an M.Sc. degree from the same university (2024).
Her research journey began during her M.Sc. degree, focusing on photocatalysis, a field that utilizes light to drive chemical reactions. She is also interested in flow chemistry for the continuous processing of chemicals, which offers advantages like improved control and safety.
Currently a Ph.D. student at the University of Parma under the supervision of Prof. Luca Capaldo, her research centers around developing a sustainable method for producing carbon monoxide (CO) via a photocatalytic process and its utilization in carbonylative reactions.
