Francesco Mele, born in 1997 in Taranto, Italy, holds a B.Sc. from the University of Potenza (2019) and an M.Sc. from the University of Parma (2022). His research journey began with the synthesis of nanomaterials via laser ablation and later shifted to organic synthesis, focusing on CO2 utilization in carboxylative cyclization of propargylic alcohols during his Master’s under Prof. Nicola Della Ca’. Currently a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Parma under the supervision of Prof. Maggi and Prof. Cauzzi, Francesco’s work centers on mechanochemical synthesis, reflecting his multidisciplinary approach and growing contributions to the field of chemistry.
